Meeting in Montgomery on April 28, the Alabama College Democrats held their annual spring convention with an unprecedented number of students and colleges represented. Students received training from Alabama Democratic Party officials, heard from party leaders such as Ag Commissioner Ron Sparks, and canvassed a Montgomery neighborhood.

The convention also elected new officers to lead the organization during the upcoming year:

President: Art Richey, Birmingham-Southern College

Membership Director: Jeffrey Ioimo, Auburn University

Political Director: Danielle Touart, Auburn University

Communications Director: Trent Thompson, University of Alabama

Financial Director: Alex Flachsbart, University of Alabama
